Hi! I’m Simona, the founder & owner of Something Blue Weddings and Events.
I am a fiancé (so YES! I am currently planning my own wedding, you`ll find all the tips in our Instagram stories) and a loyal friend. I love Muay Thai and Kickboxing, soccer, snowboarding, travelling, cooking & decorating!
I graduated from the Business Administration program with a Marketing and Accounting background.
For over 15 years I have been working in multiple roles within the hospitality and events industry as I wanted to understand the components and the full picture of any event.
I started my career at the Hilton Suites and moved on to work as an Event and Community Relations Coordinator for a major restaurant chain in Canada. I’ve also worked with a Kosher Catering company and multiple event venues.
After being in these roles for years, I realized it was time to take this into my own hands and start my own wedding planning business as the main focus of my career. I was certified by WPIC in 2014 as a certified wedding coordinator and have been exploring my passion for weddings and event planning ever since.
I have an extreme attention for detail and have made perfectionism cool (Yes, you guessed right, I’m a Virgo…). I tend to jump into situations with both feet and take a laid-back approach as a strategy to remain clear-headed in stressful scenarios.
Using your creativity, inspiration and vision, I will create an environment that guests are excited to be in and you can sit back, relax and enjoy the day with your loved ones.
My passion is human connection. I live for meaningful connections and experiences and what better way to promote that than through assisting others in making their event dreams come true? Whether you are looking for event consultation, day-of services, promotional social media management, or full event coordination, I have the skills, knowledge, and dedication to make it happen.
